Possessive is the new offering from Willow Winters and dare I say a new series? As it certainly feels that way. I have to be honest, with certain authors I don’t even bother to read synopsis’ with their books, I literally just get them and read them. Possessive was that for me. I had a feeling (Like always) that Willow has wrote something I would enjoy and boy was I not wrong!
Possessive was read over 2 days and I struggled putting it down. I got to around 80% the first day and should have just finished it as I ended up laying in bed wide awake thinking about what was going to happen. This is one of those books that till around the last quarter I felt nothing really happened. There was a very slow burn to it and I don’t mean in a boring way. Willow crafted such an intense relationship between Daniel and Addison. Love, hate, indifference, rage, desperation…. So many emotions went into this book. I don’t even know where to begin. I never give spoilers in my reviews and talking about the story makes me feel I will. So I will say this, Possessive is a slow burning book about love and things left unsaid, about courage where no support was found, about loyalty to family and distrust. I loved Daniel and Addison, at times I hated them both too. But when the end came, I felt at peace with them. There’s no huge cliffhanger although things are left unanswered and obviously there will be another book, although this is told from Daniel’s brothers point of view.
To conclude, Possessive is probably one of my favourite books this year so far. I rarely give 5 star reviews, something has to blow me away and stay with me after I finish that last page. Possessive has done just that. I cannot wait to see what happens next and hope in the future books we will hear a lot more from Addison and Daniel. I don’t usually mention covers etc with reviews as they often get changed with new revisions. But do feel the guy on this one didn’t represent my Daniel at all. He didn’t come across as even resembling him. Draw your own conclusions there, but my Daniel was more tall, dark, handsome and bad… Oh so bad. 5 stars, highly recommend this one and can’t wait to see where it goes next.

Willow started writing after having her little girl, Evie, December 2015. All during her pregnancy with Evie she continued to read and she only wanted to read romance. She was reading a book a day — sometimes two.
In January 2016 Willow was staying up late with Evie and just thinking of all these stories. They came to her constantly so she finally sat down and just started writing. She always wanted to do it so she figured, why not? Today Willow cannot be happier for making that decision!
