Transcend is the new 2 part book from Jewel E. Ann available on kindle unlimited. I’d have picked it up for the cover alone, but after reading the synopsis and seeing the hint of ‘reincarnation’ (Something that has always fascinated me) I couldn’t pass it up. Add to that the authors books are generally something I enjoy and her writing style meets my expectations, we are already onto a winner.
On Sundays its the one day I will pick up a book and read it in a day. It doesn’t seem to matter the length even if I read till Midnight or beyond I will finish it. For me, Transcend was just that yesterday. I knew I would enjoy the subject matter, but I didn’t realise just how much I would fall in love with the characters. The story is beautifully written and has a perfect pace. I loved both the chapters told in the then and now and how I felt I was there sharing those moments. I can’t tell you what happens in this book, I don’t give spoilers ever but will say there is a few OMG moments and obviously that shocking moment at the end. Is it a cliffhanger, yes kind of. But the second book Epoch is available now and also on kindle unlimited so you don’t have to wait.
I think with Transcend you really have three main characters; Swayze (Beautiful, smart, sassy and intricate), Nate (Heartbroken, strong, handsome and surprising) and Griffin (The boyfriend who is a perfect soul wrapped up in a bad boy’s body – did I say he has tattoos too?). There is also Nate’s daughter Morgan whom Nate named after his childhood best friend/girlfriend Morgan Daisy who died. There is obviously side characters and in Transcend I feel they all play important parts, some more than others.
This story is beautiful. Its heart wrenching in places and if I’m honest I feel that Epoch won’t end how I want it too which breaks my heart into so many pieces. Even now although I have started Epoch I’m scared to finish it in case that’s the way the author has wrote it. But I will finish it and my review will follow after this one. For now I will say Transcend is a 5 star read, I do not give books 5 stars often! I loved this book and went to bed feeling slightly off centre needing to know more. Today I will be having a ‘second Sunday’ just to finish Epoch. Available on Kindle Unlimited if you subscribe I cannot recommend this story enough.
